Tempranillo is all the rage at the moment and the Theodore doesn’t disappoint! It delivers contrasting flavours of leather, plums and cherries. When young, this Tempranillo will burst with cherries. After being aged for a couple of years or more it should take on an a more earthy sweet vanillin flavour. Tempranillo can either be a fun table wine or something more refined.
Palate - In the mouth this wine is vibrant, with upfront plum and cherry fruit, pleasing fruit richness through the mid palate and fresh acidity. The wine comes together on the finish with fine gravelly tannin and warming spicy oak.
Food match - pair with Tempranillo are braised, stewed or roasted meats, or game birds with a fruit sauce.
Cellaring potential - this wine will keep and continue to develop over the next 5-10 years.
